Patent
for Insulated Electrodynamic Dust Sensor
PCME's technological leadership in the field of particulate
and dust emission monitoring, has been rewarded with the
grant of its 7th worldwide patent. US Patent 6,192,74 covers
the invention and use of a fully ruggedised insulated Electrodynamic
dust sensor. The patent provides intellectual property protection
for the key technology that permits PCME's sensors to operate
reliably in humid and aggressive environment stacks. These
conditions are commonly found after process and spray driers
(e.g. milk, detergent and ceramic production) and applications
with highly conductive dusts (carbon black and metals production).
The technology overcomes many of the problems which afflict
non-insulated sensors due to sensor bridging.
